Sarah hired me to be a “secret photographer” camped out at a lighthouse in Long Beach to capture her proposal to her partner Flint. What she didn’t know was that Flint, themselves, had also planned a proposal, and also had people stationed at the lighthouse… with confetti and a huge printed banner. Also important to know: almost everyone was on rollerskates, since Sarah and Flint met through roller derby (and it’s still a huge thing for them).
As the rainbow confetti fell down all around, cheers erupted from all over. My heart swelled to be surrounded by so much love and joy.
