There were countless oooooh's, wooooow's, and omg!!!'s, I wish we recorded our reactions! The photos Rebecca and Steph captured are amazing to say the least. We are especially surprised at the ceremony photos, since it seems like they took them right in front of us... but we didn't even notice them there! True flies on the wall! Our absolute favorite photos are all the candid ones of our guests. So much excitement and fun and love seeping through. “A friend of mine, looking through the photos Rebecca sent us post-wedding, sent me screenshots of at least five and said "Look! These are your souls." They really were. Rebecca caught our souls on paper, in the best way possible.
Rebecca has a unique eye for the particular person you are; for who your loved ones are; for the bonds between people, and the exuberance of the day; and she manages to capture it all on camera just as it was. That isn't even close to all that she does — I’m only describing her photography, and she excels at it.
My particular relationship with cameras is negative feedback loop of bracing myself for cameras and then getting tagged in FB candids where I look like I'm wearing a mask of my own face. Rebecca may have broken me out of ugly picture jail. Maybe even for good! There is really nothing Rebecca can't do. She is so gentle behind the camera. She simply blends into the background, except when you need her to rematerialize and tell you what to do--or maybe to tell you a really good joke--or just be your good friend. She is fun and an excellent party guest. She is great at disarming moms. She may even be good at disarming actual bombs, but I don't know enough to say, because there weren't any of those at our wedding.

“Rebecca is truly amazing. We hired her because of her knack for capturing genuine, real life moments, as opposed to contrived poses that can sometimes feel forced, at least in our experiences as attendees at other weddings. Sometimes you just don't want to fake it! We felt we could be our natural selves, and interact with our guests genuinely. She perfectly captured the energy, the stories, and the emotions of the best day of our lives. She not only took beautiful photos, she also was heavily invested in our well-being. Months before our wedding, she would check in with us and make sure we were doing okay. Sometimes she would patiently listen to us vent about the all the stresses that come with planning a wedding. Come the day-of, she was looking out when guests turned to us for logistical questions. If we needed support, she would rally our bridal party/groomsmen and coordinate with our planner and make sure we were taken care of. She really was so much more than a photographer. “We discovered Rebecca through a website called offbeatwed. We were looking for a photographer with a unique shooting style and she immediately caught our eye.
